Eye Care Technology
Walter Eye Clinic is committed to protecting your eye health with the most advanced technology available, which is why our comprehensive eye exam now includes the iWellness. The iWellnessExam is state-of-the-art technology that lets our eye doctors see beneath the surface of your retina, where signs of disease first appear. Traditional eye exams and retinal photography cannot provide this level of detail.
The iWellnessExam is fast, easy, and comfortable for patients of all ages. It gives your eye doctor valuable information about your eye health and your most precious gift: your sight.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
The doctors at Walter Eye Clinic use the latest technology to diagnose eye disease and eye conditions. Optical coherence tomography, or OCT, provide a detailed retinal eye exam for the early diagnosis of many serious eye diseases and conditions.

Optomap
The Optomap retinal exam provides a panoramic view of the back of a person’s eye (the retina). This panoramic view displays over 80% of the retina at one time.

Topographer (Topcon CA-800)
We use the Topcon CA-800 Topographer, a cutting-edge diagnostic tool that provides precise mapping of the cornea’s surface. This advanced technology allows our eye doctors to accurately assess the shape and curvature of your cornea. This is essential for customizing contact lens fittings, diagnosing conditions like keratoconus, and assessing your suitability for surgical procedures such as LASIK.

iCare Tonometer
One important part of a comprehensive eye exam is tonometry, which tests the pressure in your eyes. Elevated eye pressure can lead to eye diseases such as glaucoma.
At Walter Eye Clinic, our eye doctors and team use the iCare Tonometer to evaluate intraocular pressure. Traditionally, an eye pressure evaluation would include eye drops and the test many patients dread—the “puff of air” test.
The iCare Tonometer can measure eye pressure without requiring eye drops or the “puff of air” test. The test is fast, painless, and accurate.
